Default 2008 txt - brake drum stuck

Can’t get brake drum off drivers side. Been heating and beating but it won’t move. Have loosed adjuster/ drum spins freely but won’t move off the splines. Anything else to try? Thanks

I usually use a BFH and tap the drum from the back side, rotating positions on each impact. Never had one I couldn't get with the BFH.

Got it off. Had to use a hub puller as recommended. it ended up stripping the threads On the puller but still got the drum off. Thanks for the idea. I heated and beat it and never got it to budge. Splines were super rusty

Got it cleaned up with a wire brush and used anti seize on splines for re-assembly

Passenger side came off easy.

That must be nice! I've had to "ramp up the levels of destruction" until the remaining portions of the drum was only a joke. Once you been at it as long as I have, you will know too.

And cutting the pins off at the back doesnt always do it either, for those who thought that would be the final "end all solution", where "nothing could stop you after that".

just in case this helps anyone later on, the tool used is actually called a "hub Puller" for fWD cars

autozone and advance both had them available for free rental. I dont think it would have come off any other way
