1995 Medalist Series Reverse but not Forward

Cart ran fine for 4 years. Now solenoid doesn't click in forward. Fairly new HD FnR looks fine. How do I check voltage at the FnR selector? I did switch the 9 and 3 cables to run in forward until I can figure this out. Thanks, Gene

The contacts in MS-2 on the F/R assembly are not closing.

The NC (Normally closed) contacts are used, so the roller arm has to drop in indentation in the edge of the cam. Since it works in Reverse, it is a mechanical problem,so the cam isn't being rotated all the way into the mechanical stop, or the indentation is filled with debris, or switch is slightly out of position.

Thanks. I was getting worried I might have to replace the FnR selector. My cart has one difference from your diagram. I don't have an ignition interlock but have a blue wire from ms-2 to the battery side of the solenoid. I will check out the FnR cam position. Really appreciate your interest and help. Gene

Here's the schematic for a 94/95 Medalist. I don't have it with the solenoid activation circuit highlighted, but the solenoid circuit is the same except for the reed switch in the charge receptacle and where the charge wire connect.

Thanks, that's the diagram for my cart. I've learned a lot from some of your other posts and want to say you're a great teacher. I just had my 80th birthday and am still willing to study and learn.
