Confused!! PDS or DCS???
Just bought a cart kinda sight unseen. Was just told it was a 1999 txt and needed batteries and charger.... This is why I’m confused.. the date code does say it’s a 1999 but it appears to be a PDS. Rocker switch on dash for forward and reverse. Didn’t know they made a pds in 99??? I guess maybe the dash bezel has been changed and has the wrong serial number and date code maybe???? Thoughts??

look at the motor connections...is it A1,A2,S1,S2? or is it A1,A2,F1,F2?

I'm pretty sure EZGO didn't make any PDS drive carts in 1999 and the PDS didn't have the F/R rocker switch on the dash until mid-2000, so I suspect a previous owner replaced the stock DCS F/R switch (lever by the knee) with a PDS rocker switch and a diode.
Might be easier to remove the controller cover than get to the motor. The DCS controller has one 10 pin plug on top and the PDS controller has 5 plugs on its front. |

That's the stock PDS controller. So some one either swapped it out after the DCS stuff stopped working are put a different dash on the front of it.

Your cart might be newer than 1999.
Lift the front of the back cover and there might be a label on the frame. Circled in red at left side on attached image. Also, if the steering box is mounted on the front axle, it is a 200.5 or later. |
