DS vs. Precedent Rear Axle

Anybody know the technical differences between CC DS & Precedent rear axles and brake setup?

I am wanting to install a rear hydrolic disk brake system onto my Precedent, but the package I want to use is designed for the DS. Before I purchase and attempt a custom fab to make this work, I was hoping someone might know what I am getting into and could describe possible issues or differences.

If the stars were aligned for me, these two systems would be identical. Unlikely, but a guy can hope. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm not sure what the difference is between DS and Precedent, but l can tell you there are 2 different rear axle assys (diffs) on the Precedent.

" Transaxle type is identified by orientation of gear case bolts. The Type G Transaxle has gear case bolt heads facing toward the passenger side of the vehicle."

The other one is Type K...and is identified by orientation of gear case bolt heads facing towards the drivers side of the vehicle.
I believe this has a normal type axle with a removable/replaceable wheel bearings and the other type G does not. You have to buy the axle assay to fix wheel bearing noise. (l may stand corrected on this bearing replacement).

Good luck, someone else may let you know what's diff between DS and Precedent.
