Club Car not charging
I have a 2001 Club Car 48v. Noticed yesterday after a ride the charger didn't come on. Today, I put my portable battery charger on each battery. The were all showing about 8 volts each. I charged them all up to 50% inspected the connections, and water level all good and plugged it back in. Charger still didn't come on. Fuse looks good. Carts runs. Any suggestions?
Thanks |

Re: Club Car not charging
do you have a friend or neighbor that has a 48 volt club car that you can plug your charger into? we need to determine if the problem is the charger or the cart first.

Re: Club Car not charging
I'm going to have a friend who has the same cart come over with his cart and charger tomorrow and try using his charger. I'll post result.
Thank you |

Re: Club Car not charging
Does the relay in the charger CLICK when you plug the charger into the cart?

No, click at all when it gets plugged in. I checked the outlet to make sure the charger was getting power.

Re: Club Car not charging
I had somebody bring over their Club Car charger today. We plugged it into my cart and nothing no click, not a peep.

Re: Club Car not charging
Not saying a word as my 95 would not charge the other day had between 8.1 and 8.3 on all batteries, and 48 volts on pack. Jumped the relay in charger, ran charger for 16 hrs. Today plugged in after rewiring relay came right on just fine.

Re: Club Car not charging
You know you can bypass the OBC. Check some of the older posts. THis way you can get the cart charged and know for sure its the OBC. Check continuity on that fuse also. Sometimes they look good but aren't.

Re: Club Car not charging
Do you think it's worth it to try and reset the OBC?
