Default Ezgo rxv rear is bottoming out on bumps

2008 RXV has rear flip down seat...with minimal load on the cart . when I hit a bump I get a firm thump like frame hitting top of axle or shocks bottoming out..I also have an 09...no problems.
Anybody know if I can use coil over shocks for a late model EZGO on the rear of my RXV. Only other option I have is automotive overload springs.

Open to all ideas and suggestions

Also need owners manual for RXV.. factory says backordered...

I know this is probably too simple an answer, but it worked for me. I had a thump over bumps too, thinking it was the springs/shocks/etc. Then I discovered my tire pressure was low. So be sure your tire pressure is correct. They can look perfectly fine, but be low.
Even simpler..........make sure you don't have something in any of the back storage areas that might be causing the noise.

Also....check the stickies here. You can download some of the manuals from the links there.

I put the HD springs and Monroe shocks on the rear of my 2008 RXV due to having a rear seat and having some heavyweights sitting back there some times. No bottoming out at all.

Glad it worked James.
Question for you, since I don't know much.......were the springs you took off really flat?
Mine are almost totally flat and I'm thinking that's not the right way to have them!

Can I get the springs I need at local auto shops? I also have a back seat which folds out into a shelf. What springs should I get? Looks like something I could do (with husband's help). I saw a how-to on You Tube and it looked fairly straight forward.

Check with a site sponsor. One of them should be able to fix you up.
