I am gonna wash the batteries- what else do I cover
I was starting to add a little water to the batteries, and the Tree rats (squirrels) were eating at the Che EZGO/bad boy cafe again
It looks like saw dust. I took my leaf blower and blew most off, but there is like a film, I was going to use soap and water and my wife suggested I ask here first, because, you always given me great info I am thinking about spraying the batteries with mean grean and driving over to the car wash covering the Solenoid, and the Speed Controler and just blasting the batteries and compartment Good Idea or bad Idea? any suggestions? thanks and Happy New year PS I got a digital battery gauge from Santa- I don't know how Santa knew, that I wanted one, but I got that for the cart!!! |

Suggest you download Owner's manual and read it.
Here is the page on cleaning batteries. Note that pressure washing is not recommended. |

Re: I am gonna wash the batteries- what else do I cover
Pressure washing almost always shoots water where it shouldn't go.
I use a spray on battery cleaner. I let it work for a while and rinse it off with a hose. Tough spots get a second application and some scrubbing action before a second rinse. I use a leaf blower to dry the batteries and the F&R and Controller and solenoid even though I had the electronics covered with plastic bags they still seem to get a little water... I hope this helps. |

I just use the hose and a soft bristle brush. Dish soap or baking soda as a neutralizer, then rinse.

It is a good idea to cover the electronics and then blow dry.....

LOL Cindy was right- You guys saved me from Myself again-
Might have to wait a couple days, weeks or so, its darn cold outright now our garden hose wont work JohnieB what is this thing you talk about? OWNERS MANUAL? please remember this is an illegitimate child of EZGO and until they got bought by EZGO, they never heard of a thing as owners manual or service manual- We had three 2005's there and all three had wires running to the same spots, but all different directions- they was no uniformity- and no customer service. I have been told, that some ezgo dealers have attempted to pull hair out on a couple of carts! or because of the carts That s why all of you build from scratch or reengineer guys are so much help ANd Most importantly- how much does your hat cost? I want one I bet it could speed up my service at the bank and the pharmacy Happy new year to all and thanks again |

Quote:
Buy 2 boxes cut the top off of em and put one in the fridge where it will absorb all the sour food smells, Pour the other one over you already hosed off (wet) batteries and let it set awhile then rinse again. Next time you need to wash the batteries buy one box and put it in the fridge, take the old box and wash the batteries! |
