Default Adding turn signals to '07 Precedent w/lights

Have '07 Precedent with lights and horn and now adding turn signals (trying to). Got signal kit from BU and thought it would be a straightforward install...until I dropped the dash and holy moley....wires everywhere. And the installation sheet from BU left a bit to be desired. Pictures nice but... Nine pin connector here and one there. Different colored wires. I visited another thread (Precedent turn signals into '98 DS) and got some good info, but I'm still a bit confused. Okay, really confused, starting with the two 9-pin connectors (one was for the horn and it peeled off the first 9-pin which (guessing) was for the lights.

Wiring my '55 was easier than this is going to be. Anyone wanna help an old fart?

Were your lights and horn from a factory add on or aftermarket?

Did you get a diagram that looks like the attached?

The wiring diagram I got was not like you picture though I do have one like it. the unit came from BU with flasher and all that and they state it should plug right in....so, I plugged the connector into the one the horn used to be connected to and things working (turns and lights anyway) as they should. I don't have brake lights though and still have some loose wires....

from the Precedent to the signal harness:

green -> yellow
black -> white
brown/white -> red/white with inline fuse (this one is still 'loose')
red -> green
white -> orange
blue/white -> red (another 'loose' one right now)
yellow -> brown
orange -> nothing on harness but I think that's where the horn wire goes

I did connect the flasher to the light switch 'in' and the turns are working as well as the little light in the signal unit. Just don't know where to plug those other wires in to....

Oh, and there's a 'loose' red wire from the signal unit that I wonder about. I tried connecting to the fused r/w and the brake lights stayed on so that's not right. Need to find the brake switch wires I'm thinking...

This is the wiring diagram that came with the turn signal kit.
My '07 Precedent has 4/12's for batteries.

I didnt even realize it was upside down

ArgMatey,
I would call BU. I am not familiar with a "plug and play" signal kit.

Sorry

yep, had brake lights before.....

were you standing on your head looking at the picture or what? ...oh, you mean ESSNESS' pic...

still looking where those red wires go....to the frame and brake switches according to the diagram. Guess I'll be splicing wires once I figure out which ones.

Take a close up picture of the 9 pinn connector off your turn switch assembly....don't cut anything yet, also take some pictures of behind the dash wiring and post them here. If I can see the wire colors of your connector, I may be able to help. Look at thios thread also and see if this helps you at all
