Commutator replacement? Possible? Feasible?
Just as the title says. Every now and then we swap in used motors due to worn parts that render the motor unfit to rebuild, namely extremely worn commutators.
Can these be removed and replaced, and if so, is it even worth it? I know commutators can be cut, but I'm talkin when they're well past that point .... Just replace the whole armature if the commutator is shot? Just curious |
