Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
Thats funny, never noticed until You pointed it out... They should also have a "No" and a "Yes" on the arrows leaving the tow/run pointing towards the Regen I and II controllers.
It is also missing the Grey Excel controller and the New White ERIC controller. |

Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
Most people prefer Regen 2 (of the Regen types). IQ is best/most popular, but wasn;t invented yet. The speed controller for Regen 1 is:
1) More Complicated 2) Speed Controller is more expensive/harder to replace (no longer mfr'd, so mods to upgrade to "essentially" Regen 2 are typically required). Even controllers for Regen 2 aren't all that cheap/easy to find/buy. 3) Quirky - Harder to troubleshoot. 4) Regen 1 almost always used potentiometer (not V-Glide) accelerator - which is not very weatherproof and therefore prone to failure. 5) The only speed upgrade possible requires motor swap & removing Regen braking feature. 6) Virtually nobody wants to own/fix them There - I think I summed that up pretty well..... |

Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
Cool!
Do you think it needs the yes and no by the arrows? Otherwise it looks like both regen1 and regen2 have a tow/run switch. |

Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
Speaking of cool - Sergio - Just FYI, I've got my relays tucked away for my spring project - but tonight is supposed to hit zero degrees. Brrrrr. Won't be retrieving my cart from storage to mess with, any time soon!

Re: Do I have a ds or iq system?
I think it may just be called the Precedent i3, not sure if the word Excel will be there, I think E.R.I.C. may just be the charging system???
