Nearly $200!!! Ouch!
Still haven't busted into mine to verify that this is the issue...got busy doing other projects around the ranch. |

Shop around. I replaced my MCOR2 with a MCOR4. It cost $115 with adapter kit. That is unless you have the Pedal I assembly then you need the 2 ver.

Re: 08 Precedent sometimes pedal doesn't work first time
Well, I finally got a chance to bust into it and it appears to have been an issue with the keyed ignition in the dashboard. Which is good, since it was a cheap fix.
I noticed that the dashboard is sagging and resting on the top of the steering column, so I shoved a chunk of rubber in there to hold it up about an inch. I had installed a new key ignition a while back, so it didn't use a universal key. It has been acting up since then. The keyed ignition is deeper than the stock one, so the wire connections were rubbing on the frame behind the dash. Now that it isn't sagging, it isn't bumping the connectors anymore. Also, while I had the dash out, I took out the annoying Reverse buzzer and replaced it with a red led light. I use this to hunt hogs out on my ranch, so having the buzzer removed will reduce scaring the wildlife. So now the cart is COMPLETELY silent. |
