1996 club car ds electrical trouble
Hello
I have a 1996 club car ds 48 volt. This cart has an alltrax 48500 controller heavy duty solinoide heavy duty forward reverse contactor with 2 gauge welding cable wires. I use this cart as a hunting cart and have the reverse buzzer bypassed. The problem is that when the cart gets wet in a drizzle or just driving through wet grass the reverse buzzer will sound and the cart will not move untill it dries out. It has even made the cart run slower so that I had to reset the controller. Any ideas on waterproofing this or what spacific wires could cause this to happen. Thank you Michael |

Re: 1996 club car ds electrical trouble
Sounds like you having trouble with moisture in the reverse micro switch activating the buzzer and the reduced reverse speed. You might try simply disconnecting the 2 reverse micro switches at the F&R. These 2 switches are the ones closest to the rear of the cart looks like a red wire on one and purple on the other. If the throttle is not right (cart is slow) connect the green wire to the white wire on the rear switch and report back
