Ezgo say to use 1oz per gallon for light use (like golf) and 1.5oz per gal for heavy use. Many people use different ratios for whatever reasons. To much oil can cause poor performance, fouled plugs, stopped up muffler. It's entirely up to you what ratio you use.

Ya they say in the manual if u r just breakin the cart in put about 1 and a half to 2 ounces of 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas. After it is broken in. Start to just put 1 ounce of oil to a gallon of gas

I talk to a two tooth mechanic (i trust a man who has not time to brush). He says the 'butter zone' is between 70 and 100 to 1. He says a cart doesn't leave his shop otherwise. i got mine that was mixed 40 to 1 and need to lean it out for sure. I have a 81 marathon with no oil mixer i know of.
