Solenoid delay after sitting.
So a friend pulls into the driveway with a stock G29 and says it's acting weird and the dealership is lost and throwing parts at it...
It's a stock 2012(?) The motor and solenoid were replaced last week with OEM parts with no change. The controller is 2 years old. When the cart sits for an hour or more it will take about 20 seconds for the solenoid to pick up once the key is turned. If you immediately turn the key off/on the solenoid picks up normally. Wait 15 minutes and there's 5-7 second delay, wait an hour and its back to 20 seconds. This morning he cycled the Run/Tow first and the solenoid picked up normally. Waited an hour and then turned the key normally and a 20 second delay again. Thoughts, anyone seen this one before? Time for a new controller? (Alltrax this time) Thanks Guys! Re: Solenoid delay after sitting.
Well, faulty wiring doesnt cause delays. Especially delays that are reproducible on command. So we can pretty well rule that out. The solenoid gets its B+ power from the tow/run switch & its B- directly from the controller (Not the key switch, gas pedal, ect) That leaves solenoid timing squarely in the hands of the controllers commands.

Re: Solenoid delay after sitting.
Not likely at all. Unless field mapping went totally off the wall.
