88 E Z 2stroke cylinder score
So I’ve ran into a situation where I don’t know what my options are if any with a scored cylinder. I don’t know if the cylinder is salvageable for one and if so , how much of the cylinder can I hone past book recommendations if at all. There is a oversized piston/ring set available .25mm ( 0.010”). I assume that means over the standard spec? My cylinder is sitting at maximum diameter before it recommends replacing. I attached some pics of the damage, cause, and a ring in the cylinder to show how much score is there. Can I keep honing and order the oversize replacement piston/rings or am I better off to replace the head? I’m planning on flipping this when it’s done so I’m trying to keep my new parts $$$ to a minimum but I don’t want to just band-aid it.
