What to look for when purchasing a golf cart
I'm new to golf carts, I am planning a purchasing a 2004 EZ-G0 gas golf cart from a private seller for $2000 what things should I be looking for when I go and take a look at it? Also how maintenace free is a gas cart? Are there certain things that I need to look out for?
This is what he sent me "EZ-GO four wheel golf cart with roof. Think is 2004 model. Very low hours, V-twin four stroke motor. Has oversized ATV tires on rear with arched springs. Also has blue neon underglow, halogen headlights, purple taillights" I plan on putting a folding rear seat as soon as I get it. |

Others will chime in with more things to check out... 2000$ for a 04 cart with this many options sounds very suspicious? do you have any pics of this cart? When you go to take a look at it, just check the usuals such as engine oil levels, how the brakes feel, and if the steering feels stiff and if it has minimal slop, check the belts for cracks, also check the drive clutch and see if it has any looseness or slop, i highly doubt a newer cart like this has a warn out clutch, but its always a good thing to check. If it goes fowards and backwards without smoking and clacking, you should have a good cart. Others will chime in with more things to check... |

I agree. If it's truly a V-twin and a good one it seems to good to be true for a 2004 cart.

That's a pretty good price for '04 gas. Even if it's stock....

Be sure it's for real. There are a lot of scams and rip offs out there. Get a phone number, meet at a house, not a parking lot....Good Luck! Now, that's cheap! |
