Won't take charge, meter flashing
I have an EZ Go electric golf cart with 2 yr old batteries. Has not been used all winter. The battery meter registers empty but the red light alternates back and forth on empty. The headlights work. When I connect the charger it humms like it's charging but after 10 hours it does not show any charge at all. at the end of last season it was in good working order. What to do? There IS water in all the batteries.

Re: Won't take charge, meter flashing
If you have less that 24 volts in the battery bank - the charger WILL NOT start...

Re: Won't take charge, meter flashing
If it is a 12 volt charger, you need to charge two batteries at a time.

Re: Won't take charge, meter flashing
6v batts = negative cable to negative of 1st batt , connect poss cable to pos of the second batt in line. this way you are across 6 cells making a 12v batt

Read wrong... retracted.
make sure you disconnect the other batteries from the series while charging only two at a time in that series. |

Re: Won't take charge, meter flashing
you don't need to disconnect anything just hook the charge cables up like so, be mindful of polarity.....hope this helps...
