Re: G1 Dripping oil
Light brown is good, but if oil is leaking out of your engine due to a leaking seal or gasket, air can leak into the engine. This will lean out your fuel/air mixture and cause the engine to run hot or interfere with the oil mist that is supposed to lubricate the internal parts. Your leak may not be major (yet) but given that you have good compression and it runs well, it is best to fix the problem now. You may get away with it for awhile, but ultimately a leak in a 2-cycle engine results in the engine being destroyed due to running too hot or lack of lubrication.
Someone posted instructions for seal replacement somewhere in this forum not too long ago. Do a search, they should come up. |

Re: G1 Dripping oil
I'll pull the shroud tomorrow and see where it's leaking, don't need to ruin a good engine. Thanks for your help.
