Search Function

Not sure whats happening but anything I search for comes up "No matches found". Do newbies need so may posts before they can search? I used similar search bottons on other boards but can't figure out why I can't search treads? Any suggestions?

How specific are you being in your search term?
sometimes you have to be more general, and wade through a few extra search results.

I just found this thread by searching "newbies".

I just used the "search this forum" on EZGO Gas with the word "the" and got "Sorry - no matches found" I have it will not search at all. Has to be some setting thats not allowing me to search anything.

I believe it skips words like "the" in the actual search, due to the number of matches it would find

try typing "newbies" and see what it comes up with

"Sorry no matches" comes up for every word I put in (including newbie), its got to be some setting, but I can't figure it out.

Check out the forum rules... You might be right about the min. post number before it's available..

Not minimum posts but minimum characters. Words like "the" "I" "you".....and others are not indexed. Better off using the google search feature.

Yup... I have Google in my tool bar, on the right of the Google search button is a down arrow for a drop box, I hit "search site" and let Google do the searching.
