Deionized Water
Is deionized water just as good as distilled water? I use deionized for my fish tank and it has ZERO total disolved solids.....so would it be just as good? Or better?

Re: Deionized Water
De-ionized water isn’t necessarily pure water, given the de-ionization procedure of exchanging ions. De-ionized water is just water that lacks ions coming from sodium, calcium etc. and still may contain other organic junk.
De-ionized water is used for aquariums because distilled water is too pure. Distilled water is the recommended use in lead acid batteries and I would stick with that. |
