Default 1994 EZ GO medalist goes slow

I have a 1994 EZ Go medalist Non DSC ,Question :Orange wire from FR micro switch,when I remove, cart goes normal speed,when I reattach cart goes slow.What does this orange wire do? Ok to keep off?

Sounds like it is wire incorrectly? The orange wire would be the 1/2 speed reverse...

It's either wired incorrectly or the Micro has failed in the closed position. Regardless, yes, you can leave it off with no problems.

Physically operate the switch ~ you should here a click. Check it with a voltmeter set to 'continuity check' Or just check for voltage in ~ voltage out when manually operated. Hope this helps.

micro check ok,which side of the FR switch does the orange wire go on,facing FR switch from back,my orange wire is on right.

the orange wire on a Medalist should be on the micro on the passenger side of the F&R
