Default Turning a cart on it's side?

Good morning, I've striped my cart down to the frame for refinishing and was wondering it I could turn it up on it's side to do the under side. The motor "elec" is still attached and I know it would be ok but what about the axle and the gear thing, I know it has oil in it. Is this a problem?

If the axle seals work they shouldn't leak. Why not drain the rear end and refill it with fresh gear oil when your done.

if you put it on the passenger side you should be ok. If you flip it on the drivers side, oil will seep out of the breather in the top of the axle tube.

Don't let all of the oil drain out of the motor. If you do, you'll have to prime it via the electric motor oil pump that sits right next to the bushing trimmer.
