Not sure what to do with this 04 TXT
I already have a 93 Club Car that is 36 volt but I just got a decent deal on a late 2004 (dated my serial number on the Cunningham site) that has a roof and bumpers unlike my older resistor Club Car. What I am trying to decide is which I should keep? I am leaning towards fixing up the EZGO since it is 9 years newer and already electronically controlled. The bummer is I guess it is a DCS cart since the F/R switch is below my seat and I have not seen a tow/run switch. What is the best way to get a another 5 mph out of these? I guess using a jumper won't apply to this cart right??
John Help bring me over to the EZGO side with great advice on mods and tricks. I am great at fabrication and electronics. |

The cart you are describing is a SERIES cart, not a DCS or a PDS. It is a great cart to build up. To go faster it's gonna take a motor rewind or more voltage, or both (like I did).

I think I will, even thjough it is a dog now the fact it is 9 years newer and already fully electronic vs. my old resistor cart has to be an advantage.

Now I need to put a cool paint job on it since my kids will be pissed when I sell the "pretty" one.

Here they are. I know I can quickly make the EZ Go just as nice as the CC is now. Actually I will go a little more wild the next time.

Re: Not sure what to do with this 04 TXT
If the E-Z-GO has the F/R switch under your leg and a rod going to the passenger side it's a series cart. If it doesn't have the rod it's a DCS cart! You can do a lot of upgrades to the cart if you want to speed it up. I would suggest 48 volts with a new controller and charger. Get a motor of your choice. Put #2 cables on everything but the charger ones they don't matter. You can go with a taller gear set if you want or go with bigger tires.
