Solenoid seemed ok. Used continuity check on volt meter and it changed from open (off) to closed (on) when the accelerator was pressed.

Then removed and reattached connector block to DCS and back wheel started to spin then accelerator was pressed.

However, back wheel is not working every time.

Used continuity to checked reverse micro-switch and it seemed to be working.

Terminals on DCS are aluminum and seem clean.

Any advice?
can you clarify this statement? I cannot figure out what you did to get the wheels to spin, intermittently?

Prior intermittent events (over past 3 weeks)- I did nothing. It would work or not work on it's own over a day or a week between attempts to run cart.

Today intermittent events -I removing and replacing the terminal block (white block that connects 7+wires to DCS)just after the cart work when it did not work. The remove and replace has "fixed" the problems three times

1) cart will not work
2) remove and replace block connector
3) cart works
4) continue testing
5) cart will not work again
6) go to #2 and repeat

Any better?

Is a short the same as a lose wire?

How can I fix a short?

Now the cart will only move forward even if it should be going back ward. The reverse alarm has not worked all spring. Could a defective micro-switch be the problem?

Did you flip the Run/Tow-Maint switch to Tow-Maint before you did any plugging and unplugging of connectors?

Reverse is handled within the controller on a DCS cart.

I disconnected the battery pack before opening the cover to the DCS, but did not flip the tow switch. Should I have? Could the problem be a lose connection?
The cart moved in reverse two times out of 8 to 10 attempts. Could ambient temperature have anything to do with behavior of the cart?

One of the hardest things to fix is an intermittent electrical bad connection.
I would rather something explode ~ so I can see what to replace
