2007 Freedom Cart
My dealer is trying to sell me a 07 Freedom Cart, lifted, camo, wheels & tires. He has converted it to 48 volts ( 6 - 8 volt NAPA's ). First week noticed hot smell. Dealer installed new HD F/R switch. Second week, controller gets hot after 15 minutes at slow speed, loses torque. What components should have been changed for this conversion? Is this a good conversion for torque and speed?

Re: 2007 Freedom Cart
Everything on the cart ( including the controller ) is original except the HD F/R switch.
Batteries are 6 new NAPA 8148 Charging with Delta 48v charger with EZ Go plug Tires are 23 x 10.50 - 12 Cart runs 24 mph with good torque ( till controller gets hot ) Run time seems a little short, maybe 8 - 6 volts would be better. thanks for any imput - Tonto |
