1999 Non-DCS will run jacked up only

Have a 1999 NON-DCS electric 36 volt cart. Batteries are fine. Cart would only move in reverse. Checked hubs, replaced controller, replaced rear motor. There is of course power to the solenoid and both microswitches are good on F/R switch. We have these parts in stock so not a biggie. Anyway, when the cart is jacked up in the rear, it will run in forward and reverse now. So we were very excited. Until it was put on the ground. The cart will only move in reverse and try to move in forward but will not. Any thoughts?

Stripped hubs or bad batteries?

The hubs have been checked as well as the batteries. going to send control box out for verification of repair.

You say it runs in Forward when jacked up. If it does this when jacked up the controller is working. Most of the time the wheels will go forward or backwards when they are off the ground. If you have it jacked up look at the hub nut while you press the go pedal and see if the nut is turnning faster than the wheel. If it is then the hubs are gone. The driverside one is the pulling side. The wheel spining when the pedal is pushed means there is a little of the spline left but once a load is placed on it it will stop spnning.

I think you will find it's either the hubs are the batteries. I say hubs though!

so i wanted to touch base and wrap up this doozie. After checking the wiring yet again!!!AAAHHH. It was discovered a wire from f/r switch to control box had very small short in wiring. Thus shorting out the control box too. Do you believe it! Goes to show even the most complex mind-boggling problem could always be something simple.DUH
