2 batteries from June with new ones
Well at the campground we are work camping at this winter the boss finally listened to me.
They had been trying to get by with a couple of new batteries and 4 old one's. The boss today finally bought 4 new batteries, same brand as the 2 from June. With (2) 6 month old batteries and 4 new where would you put the older batteries? I put them in the middle the front three and the rear three. thoughts Thanks E. Sven |

Re: 2 batteries from June with new ones
Shouldn't matter as far as the running of the cart. With that said does the cart have lights attached to 2 of the 6 volt batteries? If so that can cause some trouble down the road. Those 2 batteries will drain more than the rest so when the pack gets charged they don't get the same charge. They need to be balanced out every so often. I like to move the light wires arond on the pack to use them up evenly but this doesn't mean they want get out of balance.

Re: 2 batteries from June with new ones
Where I took the 12 volts off is between new and older.
The lights or 12 volt side is not used very often, the cart is done for the day around 5 pm. Thanks E. Sven PS thanks for previous posts and the % chart by voltage, used that to provide to the boss I knew what I was saying, after charging and sitting for a day the battereis were at 70% with a mixture of 40 to 85% charge. |

Just curious about how running with 4 old batteries effected the two new ones and if they are recovering their storage capacity now that they are with 4 new batteries. |

Re: 2 batteries from June with new ones
JohnnyB,
On the old batteries they were reading 6.12 to 6.05 but the 2 new ones were still running 6.34, 6.35. After I put the 4 new ones in and before I put them on charge the (6) I got 37.5. Put it on charge last night and will try to look at it Wednesday after a couple of days. This afternoon I saw it was still running. We are full timers in our 5th wheel We have a sweet deal here in AZ, we are work campers at a RV park and only work Sat and Sun. I do maintenance and some building cleaning and my wife is in the office for site and electrical. In the summer we work camp in Maine, but we work 6 days per week around 60 hours, get site, electrical and paid. So summers work 6 and 1 off, winter work 2 and 5 off. Not bad |
