Re: High torque motor options
I'm nowhere close to giving any advice in a sparkie thread, but I have been around this industry and forum enough to know that PQ actually IS a true motor shop and is an innovator, contributor and a credit to the carting community. If they thought there was something that could be done for this customer, I'm sure they would have done it.

Re: High torque motor options
Interesting post, I run my DS 13 miles in the AM, another 6-7 miles during the day and then another 13 miles in the afternoon, motor doesn't get hot, smell or pause.... Sounds like there is more to this issue than just the motor... Recommend looking at your controller specs IRT your new motor tolerances and closely monitoring your install in an effort to ensure your investment is not "toasted".

Re: High torque motor options
I ran the entire summer with a stock motor and an alltrex 500 amp controller set to limit at 425 amps (85% ) with turbo "ON".......and no problems
motor is warm but not extremely hot to touch. ( was purposely monitoring temp with new controller ) |

After hearing everybody's comments, I've taken my controller off and sending it back to Alltrax. I'm having them to check it out. I just want to make **** sure everything is working like it suppose to when I put my cart back together.

Re: High torque motor options
I called Alltrax yesterday to check on my controller that I sent back. They told me they shipped out a new replacement. They didn't get into details in why or what was wrong with my controller but something must have been. Alltrax has great customer service, my controller was 2 months out of warranty and they are sending me a new replacement!!! I can't wait to get it all back together, I did realize how much I missed my cart till it's not been running.
