1999 DS power
I've finally got the mods on our '99 DS finished, and replaced the OBC so the charger now works correctly. When we take it out for a ride, it seems to really slow down on the slighest up-hill pull with just the 2 of us on board. Tires are inflated properly, batteries are only a few months old, and the charger is kicking off when the batteries go over 58.6 volts.
Anyone have any ideas where to start looking for a problem? Thanks, Dickie |

Re: 1999 DS power
it sounds as if your motor is getting weak. try taking it out, first take the positive cable off the batt. pack. then washing it out with a garden hose, not a pressure washer!! then let it sit a day or two in dry area. when washing you are getting all the old brush dust out of the armature. if this does not help, i recomend a d&d swap.

Re: 1999 DS power
do you think your batteries are broken in yet? new they are approx 75% so it takes a few dozen complete charge/discharge cycles before they get to 100% is it possible this may be whats going on? ................it will get better the stronger the batteries get but keep in mind its always going to slow down going up any kind of grade, some more than others..............how are brakes? no brake drag?................................
