Default Micro switches

Just replaced solenoid and my cart still won't start. It does not even turn over. I took everything apart this morning and cleaned connections. Would the micro switches be bad even though they click when you depress them. I am not getting power to anything past the solenoid. I am stumped.

Smile Re: Micro switches

You need to buy a cheap Volt/Ohm (VOM) Meter from somebody like Radio Shack.

I tell people all the time just because you flip the switch on the wall and the light doesn't come on does not mean you have a bad bulb.

The micro switch should have terminals with small letters next to them. "COM" is the common point where everything starts. "NO" means normally open and "NC" means normally closed (this is referring to the contacts inside the switch) . Attach your meter leads to these terminals (COM & NO or COM & NC) WITH NOTHING ELSE ATTACHED and when you see meter movement after pressing the little clicking button you know voltage should be going through the device.

Make sure you meter is set to the "OHMS" scale. You will know you have the meter set correctly when you touch the two ends of the meter leads together and you see meter movement from 1 to 0 or the sweep hand moves from the left to the right.

Thanks tested everything is good but, I am getting no power to the starter. Thought it was the switch by the pedal but, no.

I'd say maybe check your f/r switch and maybe clean it. Is the solenoid clicking at all ? and have you checked the inline fuse. Try replacing it.
