Default 1984 Electric Club Car Rebuild (power issues)

HI, First off Great forums!!! :c)

I am rebuilding the 84 Elec Club Car. Body work and repainting. We repaired all the batteries and they seem to be fine (taking charge and holding at 12Volts).

I got it to a point where i could get the seats on it and tested it, it seems to have very little power. It was fully charged, but sat for a few days. So I am going to recharge it and try it again (will report the results)

Question is, is there things i can check and look for that might cause this issue (bad caps, wiring or whatnot)

Thanks in advance
Kevin

Don't know if this is much help to ya but look at the batteries and try to determine how old they are by stampings, dates etc on them. Then I would load test each one. Just because they charge up doesn't necessarily mean they are good.

So much can cause that year to run slow....bad solenoids, micro switches. Somebody with more knowledge then me will jump in with more/better advice.

i,m betting your problem is in the batteries, 1st it shouldn,t have 12 volts in it.......are they golfcart batteries? you need to load test each one a battery holding voltage can and will fail under load and it only takes one and if your using regular 12 volt deep cycles and 1 fails thats like 2 bad batteries......i know they arn,t cheap but if you want a good running cart the last place to cut corners is batteries/cables.......................................

either with a battery load tester or driving with voltage meter hooked up ......you have to hook to each battery and get readings................................
