Think of the battery pack as a welder, (which it is capable of doing), and you will anwer your own question.

tyhuck,
When I was building mine I asked a lot of questions from the experts here and one was the same question you asked. I did NOT ground anything to the frame. I have a separaate 12 volt system for my lights and I am glad I did it that way. I don't have to worry about the lights pulling the juice out of the motor batteries and there is no chance of cross voltage causing any sort of problems if properly insulation with extra on the 12 volt wires. I made some mistakes and these guys and gals here kept me from spend thousands of dollars I did not have to spend. In short...listen to them, they know what they are talking about. Rodger |
