Default 1994 Medalist 36V- Accelerator Pedal Sticks

Hello Everyone

I have a 1994 EzGo Medalist, I completed a restore on the cart a couple of months back.

I chose to take the cart out for a ride and the accelartor pedal stuck. I hit the brakes right away and dragged the passenger rear tire. It came to a pretty hard stop and my nice tinted windshield decided to keep moving. That shattered.

Is there some type of linkage that needs to be greased peridically. Still new to golf carts. I do here the click when I put the pedal down so I would assume this is normal. The cart has a full charge of 37.2 volts before I went for the quick ride

Thanks

If you go to the stickies, you can download Owner's, Service, and Parts manuals, which will help you identify where to look.

If the accelerator pedal stuck, that's something mechanical. Crawl under your buggy and see if you can see anything like a stick, that got lodged in the pedal or linkage. Could also be a bad spring.

I've only worked on my buggy, which has an ITS throttle electrically. There are several other types, which may have internal springs or parts that could get hung.

Possibly the return spring is broken. It is a small coil type spring attached at the pivot point of the peddle assembly. Inexpensive to buy but it can be a bit of a bear to change.
