Re: Front end alignment, tie rods
I just put new tires on so I have that factory marking line already on my tires. I measured across the front (axle height), then measured across the back (axle height) and there is a 2" less difference in the front!!! Darn that seems like a lot, is that possible? How do you know which side to adjust? Thanks
Okay 45 minutes later, I have it.... I'm within 1/4" man, just a small adjustment sure makes a difference. And I recommend, after each adjustment driving it a little, maybe halfway up the driveway, and back to get the wheels sitting in a true position. I chased my rear-end by not doing that, and every time I did adjustments they wasn't true. Takes a little patience is all. Now how to make the steering wheel line up.... on to some other threads to chase this one down. Okay got the steering wheel lined up... man I love this site. Looks like I'm good to go!!!!!
