Default series motor question

I have a 2007 ez go txt that I am fixing up.I installed the alltrax 4855 with the 2 gauge wires, heavy duty f&r switch and heavy duty solenoid on it.The problem I have is that when I hooked it up the motor runs backwards, then if I swap s 1 & s 2 it goes foward 1/2 speed and my reverse buzzer goes off in foward.I painted my motor with undercoat and can't see the numbers on the posts.could I have the a and s post backwards?I went off the wiring diagram.

S1&S2 are on the main body of the motor and A1&A2 are on the rear cap.

Looking at at the rear of the motor, A1 & S1 would be on the left and A2 & S2 would be on the right.

When you've got the S1&S2 cables connected so the cart goes froward with the beeper sounding and at 1/2 speed, switch the A1&A2 cables.

What F/R terminals and Controller terminals are A1, A2, S1 and S2 connected to?

Should be: M-, C, D and B respectfully, but other combinations will work.

I think I will swap S1 ,S2 to reverse the direction, unhook the buzzer and the 1/2 throttle wire and go with it like that.I don't see anything else that could be wrong.

Do whatever you want, but it is the relative direction of current flow through the armature and stator windings that determine if the motor rotates clockwise or counterclockwise, so switching the cables on either the stator or armature winds, while make the motor turn in the opposite direction.

I think what has me confused is that no matter what way I swap my wires the reverse buzzer still goes off in forward.

That is telling you that you have the cables swapped on F&R and/or possibly you have the reverse wire on the wrong MS?
First things first. get the cart going forward when the shifter is moved to the drivers side limit.
Then trouble shoot the buzzer issue

That's what I had to do. Turns out the S1 and S2 were backwards all along so I fixed that then had to swap the A1 and A2 where they connected to the controller and F&R Switch.

I finally figured it out! I installed the lever behind the foward and reverse handle upside down. Now everything runs the correct way.
