Have you tried your charger on your B-I-L's cart? (My guess is that it will work normally)

If I understand the problem correctly, the chargers turn on like they should, but turn off prematurely.

That could be bad batteries, or it could be a bad cable or connection (high resistance) in the charging loop.

Clean & Inspect all of the interconnecting cables in the battery pack.
Clean & Inspect all of the cables and fuses between the charge receptacle and the battery pack.
Clean & Inspect the Radsoks and connections in the charge receptacle.
Check for loose studs on batteries. (The studs are Hex head bolts embedded in the lead battery post, so they get dislodged if too much torque is applied to bolts - 10 ft/lb max torque)

After checking the cables and connections, charge the battery pack until the charger shuts off automatically, wait 12 hours and then measure the pack voltage and individual battery voltages.
The pack should read 38.2V and each battery should read 6.37V, and all six batteries should be within 0.1V of each other.

Like the Reed Switch, good intent, bad design.
Those round pin plugs are terrible! I've been working on some 01 TXT's for a friend and every one of the plug handles, pins, and receptacles are burn't! I took an industrial razor blade and tapped it into the male pin to spread it open just a bit and that helps immensely to get a decent connection back. The female connector is definitely a "lousy application of engineering", as it is just to intricate. The other drawback to the round pins are the price of replacement. $14 for the male and $15 for the female EACH! What was wrong with the SB-50 that had flat spring loaded contacts and cost less than half of round ones?

Ya just gotta know how to "use" it. Engineers typically don't know how to use female parts.
