Need help with motor test

Ok. Did that. Motor moves the wheels no prob. Didn't leave it connected but a sec or two. What should I try now?

I tested the motor per your instructions and the wheels spun right up. Only kept it going for a second or two. Now I need to figure out why controller not turning motor.

Do you have another controller you can try? Did you buy the controller new or used?

I think this might be one of my kits - I don't know for sure because of the coded names ???

Was the cart running at all since the conversion. I know in your other post you said it was before the lift. Did you take it to 48v after that? Think about what has been done since the last time it ran and check all of the wiring, patiently. Have a wiring diagram there with you to verify.

When I hooked it up, I had 6 6v batteries on it, which were older and in only fair condition. I charged them and then connected everything up. The wheels spun for a few seconds and stopped. Charged again and same thing. I had the 36v resistor on there, so everything should have been kosher.

I chalked it up to bad batteries, assumed everything connected properly and thought I would just get the new batteries after I installed the lift and went to pick up my new rims.

Next, I installed the lift kit and picked up the new batts. Wired it up, connected the 48v resistor to the solenoid, and tried it out. Zero. A few burps out of the motor and one or two lurches forward or back, but nothing significant.

Then, triple checked all the connections - good. Then, I re-ran all of the tests on the battery pack and controller with the resistor off. Battery pack voltage 50.1. Voltage at B+ and B minus 50.1. Solenoid clicks (yes). Voltage at pin number one 50.1 Voltage at B minus and M, 50.1, but does not drop when pedal pressed further down.

Checked the potentiomter. 0.10 to 5.24 ohm

Checked for continuity on F&R switch (not sure I did this one right), and it checked out OK.

That's all I can think of right now.

The controller is not putting out.... B- to M- reading is 50v when the solenoid clicks then does not go down when you press the peddle?

R U sure there is 50v+ to pin #1 when the solenoid clicks ?

Were there any sparks when you were hooking it up or changing the 6v batts to 8v?

The controller is putting out 50.1 at pin one
At b minus and m same. Just does not drop.

I don't remember sparks but I do think there may have been electrical smell from motor. Not sure though. Continuity at motor at .8 and .2 at proper spots.

Sorry. That should have been

A1 to a2 goes from infinity to .9
S1 to s2 goes from infinity to .5
