Ok. So I called the folks at FSIP with DVM in hand. He had me re-run all the tests. Same results. Then, he had me look at the voltage for pins 2 and 3 with the negative connected to negative battery terminal. Pin 2 was 15 volts, and zero at pin 3. He said problem is probably in wiring, pot, or F&R switch and not likely controller. Said if I am not getting any volts at 3, then not likely the controller.

When disconnected, the pot tests at 0.01 to 5.23 ohms. Don't now about any other tests that could be performed on pot, do you?

Maybe it is the F&R? or one of the microswitches?? Scottyb sent me a diagram to test the EZgo F&R, but unsure if it is the same as club car. The F&R switch I have looks like this one:

It has two tabs on the microswitch. Says Zippy on the microswitch.

I am at a loss. Any help is much appreciated. It's been months and I cannot get this thing going.

Are you testing the pot directly at the pot or at the wires you just disconnected from pins 2 and 3? It sounds like there is no continuity in the wires from the pot to the controller pins 2 and 3.

Not sure what you mean there. I tested two ways:

One - everything off. Remove two potentiometer wires from controller and press accelerator - ohm range .01 to 5.23 - attached leads from DVM to the spade connectors on end of potentiometer wires.

Two - everything on and and connected. Test potentiometer wires as connected at pins two and three. Black lead of DVM connected to battery negative. Red lead to pin two or three. Pin two shows 15 volts or thereabout and Pin three zero when accelerator pressed.

That's how I was told to test it. F&R switch off now and on its way back for testing or a new one. Let's hope that's it!

It was not clear (to me) from your description exactly how you performed the tests... I saw where ScottyB asked about power on Pin 1 and you answered as if the controller provides power on that Pin, but that pin is an input...

Pin 1 - should read 0v with pedal up and then 50v when pedal is pressed.

Pin 2 - Is the voltage always 15v, pedal up all the way to pedal down?

Pin 3 - Is the voltage always 0v pedal up all the way to pedal down?

Replaced the f and r switch. No luck.

Pin 1 is as you describe. Zero up and full voltage all the way down

Pin 2 is zero up and 15 all the way down

Pin 3 is always zero no matter the position

Any ideas? Thanks.

Folks - I am at a complete loss. As stated above, I replaced the f and r switch. Retested everything with the results above. I retested the potentiometer and get ohms of .01 to 5.25 at 20k ohm setting. Still no voltage at pin 3. Is it the controller? Please help.
