I didn't order the guide ring because it sounds/feels like it's in the axle. Would the guide ring make noise without applying power? And would it explain the play in the rear wheels? I've played with it enough to rule out the hub covers.

Here's a short video of the sound with me just rocking it back and forth: http:// https://www.youtube.com/watc...e_gdata_player

The thing that's weird is that it continues to make the noise as I roll, even if there's acceleration, which I assume if it was just something loose wouldn't happen once the "slack" is taken out by acceleration. Does it forward and backward.

Though my money is still on a bad guide ring, you could always drain the rear end and look for shiny flakes in the oil. This would be an indicator that something inside the rear end is afoul.

Hi, all. I noticed something today that I thought might help with diagnosis: as mentioned, I can mimic the noise by rolling the cart back and forth without power, but i noticed today that if the key is on the noise is much more pronounced. Still guide ring?!

Thanks!
