New batteries won't fully charge
I put new batteries in my cart last year but now they won't charge above 6.02 for 4 of them, 5.91 for the other 2. I put a voltmeter on the charger and it's putting out 44 volts. I am trying to charge them individually with a car charger set on 6v. The first shut off at 6.33. Do I try to charge it again to see if it will take more? What else do I try? The batteries have one season on them. I put it away fully charged and there is no bulging on the cases. I did not have a maintenance charger on them through the winter. I've put them away the same way every year.

Re: New batteries won't fully charge
I am assuming a 36v cart?
It may be your charger. You can also use a 12v car charger on two of the batteries at a time and see if they will fully charge. |
