Default Stock battery meter

I have a 99 ezgo. I upgraded to 48v. My stock battery meter always reads full being a 36v meter. Do that make stock replacements that fit the opening in 48v? Is the wiring the same?

Yes they make them and the wiring is the same.. But they are pricey.. Most people have gone to the digital gauge but I still use the bar graph because most of the people that will be using mine wouldn't understand..

Now that being said. You could rewire your meter to use less than the full pack voltage. Wouldn't be perfect but worth a shot. You go 6 8s or 8 6s ?

6x8v...80$ for a meter seems a bit much. I have a digital numeric meter on it already. The real problem is the soldered terminals on the back of the 36 are loose and cause the cart to cut out going over rough terrain. Can I just eliminate the stock meter? What to do with the existing wiring?

I purchased a digital one on eBay for about $7 + free shipping. Use your digital voltmeter to check the meter voltage. If it's full voltage you can use the factory wires and install an aftermarket SOC meter. Just find one with similar size and install in the factory spot. Scottyb has some sweet meters with trim plating on his site for good prices. (Just not one for my RXV!)
