Default New to the website

I purchased an 82 marathon e zgo . The body need paint and the under carriage is a little rusted. I want to strip the body off frame and grind down the rust and paint the frame. How do I take the body off the frame? DO the body come off the frame.

Not sure how the body comes off, but I am sure it does! Just a question of how much trouble it is. Crawl under there and look for bolts holding it. It is friggin cold outside or I would crawl under mine to look for you. If I get a chance, or have the need, I will see if I can sneak a peek under mine to see if I can see how the body mounts. Hopefully someone else will reply to this thread who knows how the body mounts.

Hey cable 1914. Relax. Yes it will come off the frame. I'm not an EZ-GO guy but you will find everything you need to know in here. Just search around.

Hey guys Thanks for your replies. I figured it out after lifted the front end up. There were about 5 bolts at the bottom of the frame and about 5 at the top above the shock cover. Once i unscrewed those I had to take the rubber trim from around the body and the front cover came right off. I was able to hammer out the dents. Next weekend I will attempt to take the rear fenders off and sand the frame down. Guys I think i found me a hobby. I wish i knew how to weld. I found some spots on the front frame that needs some new metal.

A hobby that can easily turn into a addiction!
It's all good.

If you are in the Detroit area, I have a water cooled TIG welder that would be happy to help you out!
