Default Can’t get less than 1” toe-in 2004 club car ds

I’ve got the rod adjusted all the way in and i can’t get it less than 1”. I took the rod apart, cleaned all the threads and put it back together with no luck... it’s almost like I need to remove one of the nuts but I must be doing something wrong. Has anyone ran into this before?

Somethings bent or some bushings are totally shot.
This is a stock front end, right? Doesn’t have a lift or any other modifications done?

It's got wings... They're yellow

Where did you get those tie rod ends? Those are not threaded quite as far up the stud as the originals. Even the cheapos I have are threaded more than that.
Is the tie rod new? Did it come with the kit or did you buy it elsewhere? Do you have the old one still? You could maybe get away with trimming 1/4" off each end of that if you can cut it Perfectly flat.
Are the control arm bushings worn out?

Also, toe angle changes slightly when the cart is in the air vs when it's on the ground. I don't think it's a full inch of change, but it will toe in maybe 1/4".

Those are the stock ends, or at least the ones that came with the cart. I was thinking the easiest thing to do would be to cut an inch out of the rod. The rod itself was on the cart, I was just doing maintenance while I rebuild the cart

Those are certainly not "stock". The OE club car ones are plain finish, not cheapo yellow plated. Probably an aftermarket replacement, and at least the one on the left side is missing the dust boot, so it will be trashed in no time.
I'd get some OE tie rod ends and try it with those before cutting the tie rod.

To gain an inch of toe-in you only need to adjust that rod about 3/8 inch, so taking 1/4 off either end should provide plenty of adjustment room.

I knew I had seen these somewhere and was going through my parts stock today and found them.
RedHawk STR-001 and STR-002 are matching Left hand and Right hand thread tie rod ends, and the threads on these go all the way to the very end of the stud.
Try looking for some of those, I don't remember where I got them from, but alot of our site sponsors carry RedHawk parts.
