Default Altrax NCX300R5

I am running this controller on my 1999 EZGO TXT DCS cart. When I am running on flat ground the cart runs as always. The cart has started to surge while going up a hill and I am hearing a hissing that is coming from the controller. If I ease up a little on the accelerator, the hissing stops and the cart does not surge. The cart has never done this before. Am I experiencing a failing controller? I have checked all connections and wires. Can this controller be rebuilt if it is failing?

It sounds like this controller is failing. It is not serviceable.
This was the smallest lightest duty Alltrax offered. Replace with something beefier like the XCT48400 DCS control.

You are welcome
The NCX line of controls were offered as a stock replacement control with a footnote to not be used with big tires, rear seats, or in hilly terrain.

LOL!! I got this cart with a lift and running on 24" tires. I have give it heck for 2 years, so no complaints.

That speaks well for Alltrax. You had good luck but others who pushed it did not. Get the 400 XCT with a fan kit
