Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Follow the wire from the solenoid to the starter. Jump that lug straight to the battery.

If it spins, you know that the starter is good.

For the solenoid to actually work, you have to make contact with the key switch, the pedal microswitch, and the forward/reverse microswitch all at the same time. Chances are pretty good that you have a bad microswitch before a bad solenoid.

Why did you change the voltage regulator?

Check that you have very good grounds to frame and engine and that battery connections for both poss and neg are real good. If you have a weak link there you will have a starting prob. The other poss solutions are also in order if you have good grounds and poss contacts. Just work your way down the line of voltage and see if you can find the missing link.
