Has any body done a steering wheel swap, with a ebay chepo? If so what adapter was needed if any?

Re: steering wheel
I just received mine, purchased off ebay and came with adapter and chrome column.
When you say "cheapo", I guess it depends on what you're looking to spend, on what kind of steering wheel. Buying this package was less expensive than purchasing separately and I liked that the column and adapter were MadJax brand. For me personally, I'm painting the body a candy red so I wanted a red steering wheel but there were less expensive ones available. Got it installed last night (along with the dash and switches) and it looks great! Very pleased and it was $142.00 total (steering wheel, adapter and column): |

Re: steering wheel
Does dash go over old one? Or old one gets removed first? Looks good

Re: steering wheel
Thanks Warner0308!
If you're referring to the chrome column, once the steering wheel is removed, the old black sleeve slides off and the new one slides on, regardless of the dash you have and whether the dash is on or off. On the steering wheel in your picture, I never thought about using a non-golf cart steering wheel! Will that one work on your cart? |

Re: steering wheel
If you use the two adaptors you can use any grant based car wheel .The two adaptors were about $50 on ebay and many steering wheels $30 or less.
