Default Weird Problem... Any thoughts?

I have a 99 EXGO TXT. Has always run well and haven't had much trouble with it.

Last night I was finishing up my 9 hole round and I was coming down a steep hill and hit a bump in the cart path. The cart "ran out" like it was still running but the power never kicked back in.

It was dead. Push the pedal, nothing. Switch it to reverse, Nothing. Not even the beep. For being in reverse.

We fiddled with some wires, checked some cables, and the pedal. Turned it off and finished in walking. (had to it was league play) and came back to it. Still nothing. Fiddled with some of the wiring by the battery, nothing. (got the reverse beep to work, but sounded weak) but no go.

Anyway, we started scratching our heads and I just randomly pressed the gas and it started again.

I don't want this to happen again... any thoughts on what happened? Again, it was a good size bump while "coasting" down the hill.

thanks!

Check your ground wires.. Cart lost 12 volt power after the bump. Clutch was still engaged so engine was spinning and if it is was spinning there should have been 12 volts being generated to keep running. Also check the fuse or just replace it..

thanks for the ideas...

where is the fuse at? We checked the little barrel fuse by the (what looks like) starter solenoid.

What other Fuse you thinking?

Yes the fuse by the solenoid, I would still be tempted to replace it but.. Check connections first
