Re: Brand New Gas Concierge ---Slow 7 mph
I call it "governor arm" & "governor spring". They are used to set the tension that the spinning weights inside the axle have to overcome to pull the throttle cable back (basically overriding your "full pedal" request). Since the weights are in the transaxle, they regulate road speed, not engine rpm. The governor on the axle does nothing to reduce engine rpms until the preset (weight vs' spring) balance point has been overcome (this is equal to your pre-set road speed).

Re: Brand New Gas Concierge ---Slow 7 mph
So I adjusted throttle cable below the accelerator and near the governor arm.
Also tightened the governor bolt some more(prolly 4 threads left). Got the cart up to a smooth 17mph. Still "feels" like there is some more it could or wants to go. I'll try the tightening the governor a bit more once I get the cart body back from paint. I was cruising down the road bare bones sittin on a tool box. kinda awkward drivin it that way hahaha Getting closer...thanx guys Last edited by frankthetank; 08-15-2015 at 03:46 PM..
