2002 TXT 18hp Duromax conversion questions.

Has anyone installed an 18hp Duromax engine in a Ez-Go TXT? I got the cradle installed and engine in, but I need a longer drive belt. I am not sure of the length I need, but I'm at least 4 inches short. Any ideas on how to measure for a new belt? I'm used to measuring for V-belts, but not for this type of clutch system.

Also, do I need to remove the gearbox governor internally, or can I just leave it disconnected? Our campground has a few hills and I hate how the cart would throttle down when rolling down hill and take forever to get up the next hill.

Run a string around the out side of the driven clutch and around the inside of the drive clutch and measure the length of the string and add 2" will give u the belt lenght
