G2A voltage regulator

Has anyone drawn up a schematic of the subject regulator? Mine appears to be OK yet battery voltage climbs to 17V+ when running.

If I go to a solid-state regulator, does someone have the correct terminal-to-terminal connections?

I belive Yamaha set them up 14.5-17.5? All the stop and go that a golf cart does along with the pedal start it helps keep the battery charged.

You should check the voltage regulator as explained in the service manual:

99999-JC220-00 is a part number that will get you a plug with the 3 wires attached (with matching wire colors as your existing wires). Plugs right into the Yamaha regulator used on G9 and newer models. That's one of the benefits of being a trained and Yamaha certified, you get the inside scoop on neat little stuff like this.

??? Would you, please, explain what this "voltage regulator repair kit", I do not understand its purpose...

The way the wire harness was installed, one of the 3 wires could brake at the connector while driving the car. Yamaha came up with this "fix" so if they broke you could fix the problem rather then change out the whole wire harness. I could think of a few more "fix's" they could come up with! OP- see the directions above on how to "adjust" the G2 Hatatchi voltage regulator,

Google it and you will find plenty of places where you can order it (partzilla, 2wheelpros, etc... even on eBay).

If it is just a question of connectors, I cannot see the need for this part. If there is such a "weakness", then it can easily be addressed quite simply (in advance of course)...
